1. Common Grammar Mistakes While Speaking English

Most of the students faced common grammatical errors when speaking.

It is very difficult for students to learn English grammar. Most students make grammar mistakes when they are speaking the English language.

While speaking English, students tend to make mistakes in tenses, active and passive, and vocabulary.

Sometimes they even used the wrong tenses and spoke in the present tense instead of past tense even though they wanted to speak in the past tense. It is hard for them to differentiate between past, present, and future tenses.

2. The inability to speak the English language with confidence

One of the reasons why the students have difficulty speaking the English language in public is a lack of confidence.

Speaking the English language in public makes them uncomfortable. Teachers are usually responsible for this since they do not give sufficient encouragement to speak in public in the English language.

Most teachers do not encourage them to speak English in the classroom or to people in front of them.

The English language is taught to them but they don’t know how to speak it. One of the most common problems faced by students in the classroom is their inability to speak in public.

In speaking the English language, self-confidence plays an important role; if a student doesn’t believe in themselves, they can’t speak the English language.

It is the teachers who give students self-confidence and grow their belief system. Teachers must motivate and inspire students to believe in themselves and speak the English language confidently in public.

It is extremely important for the teachers to teach the students that mistakes happen and that everyone learns from them.

Although they are speaking incorrectly, they continue to be confident. They will learn from their mistakes and fix them in speaking again. It is therefore very important to have self-confidence when speaking the English language.

3. Feelings of shyness when speaking in English

Another reason why students have difficulty conversing in English in class is their shyness. Students experience it when speaking English.

The students are reluctant to face their teachers and their friends. Shyness prevents them from saying what they are thinking and what they want to say.

Being shy, they lack the self-confidence to speak, they lack the vocabulary to use in the English language and they forget the grammar rules.

They become nervous when speaking English in front of others because of their shyness. Teachers should push students to overcome self-doubt, so they don’t feel that they can’t speak in front of others. In order to speak English confidently, they must overcome their shyness.
